Glass Range – Security Glass

There are many different types of security glass for a wide range of applications. At Palmers we have access to glass specifically tailored for everything from resisting cyclonic winds to offering protection from bomb blasts.

StormGuard

StormGuard by Viridian is an A-Grade laminated safety glass designed to offer resistance to cyclonic winds and the debris associated with such events. While suitable for domestic use this glass is most often seen in buildings whose safety is critical for the wider community such as Hospitals, Hotels, Emergency Services, government and defense buildings.

Please note that for this glass to be fully effective it must be framed in a suitable housing for the application.

Observation Mirror

Observation mirror is a specially treated laminated glass that allows viewing through one side of the glass while the other takes on a mirrored appearance.

With a variety of obvious security applications, this glass finds use in a range of places where general unobtrusive observation is necessary.

Attack Resistant

Depending on the level of attack expected Palmers can provide glass to suit your needs. Domestic use starts at a 6.52mm laminated glass that helps protect your home against intruders. From this beginning a range of attack resistant glass is available right through to a 47.53mm laminated product that will resist a 7.62 caliber NATO standard rifle shot fired from 10 meters.
